Former President J. A. Kufour shocked by lack of awards for 17 albums, says Great Ampong on Mothers 102.7 fm
In a recent interview on Mothers 102.7fm, Great Ampong expressed his surprise that he has not won any award despite releasing 17 albums. The Ghanaian gospel musician, known for his inspirational and soulful music, was interviewed by Bishop Agbey Jnr on Mothers Ayekoo Drive ‘3y3 Mad’
During the interview, Great Ampong, whose real name is Isaiah Kwadwo Ampong, shared his thoughts on his music career and the lack of recognition in the form of awards. He mentioned former President J. A. Kufour in his remarks, expressing his surprise for him Isaiah Kwadwo Ampong not receiving any awards despite his long and successful career.
The musician also recounted how his management was contacted by some members of the VGMA board to pay an amount of money to guarantee a win from 3 categories but they refused, leading to boycotting the event some years ago.
