Ghanaian academic, author, President of the African Council for Distance Education (ACDE) and entrepreneur, Professor Goski Alabi is one of the most powerful females in Ghana doing extremely wonderful in changing the narratives in Africa.
Through her leadership and hard work, she’s been very instrumental in building of a strong African society through Entrepreneurship and Leadership and also the chair of African Network for Internationalization of Education (ANIE).
Recently, Professor Goski Alabi was present at the just ended African Outstanding Professional Awards. The scheme is a new pan continental awards designed to identify and publicly recognize extraordinarily capable and accomplished professionals across the various delineated fields of activity.
The awards aim to encourage and promote professionalism in socio-economic activity all around the continent with a view to supporting wider efforts to make Africa most competitive within the emergent global economy and society; and to directly identify professionals who are world class in their activities and therefore most deserving of taking part in international supply/value chains and socio-economic programmes, events, initiatives and projects.
In a post to announce this milestone she wrote, “ At the just ended Conference of African Professionals making impact in business and entrepreneurship towards the acheivement of the Africa Agenda 2063- the Africa We Want in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The event, which was crowned with Africa’s most outstanding professionals awards was organized by Ethio Telecoms and the Business Executive Africa. It was attended by participants from 12 African countries. Nana Adjoa Awindo was one of the recipients, recognized for her social entrepreneurship in drawing the African diaspora to their roots. The keys issues emerging focused on how to manage Africa’s Brain Drain.”
Professor Goski Alabi served as the founding Dean of the School of Graduate studies at UPSA and currently currently the Dean of the Centre for International Education and Collaboration at UPSA.
She co-founded Laweh Open University College and is the President of the University.
