Two unapologetic Ghanaian Reggae a musicians who have defied a lot of odds in recent times to move into the mainstream visibility are Konkarah Jahvybz and Ras Kuuku. These 2 stalwarts have since time immemorial stood their grounds to stand for positive and soul uplifting music within the Reggae and Dancehall circles.
Both artistes have joined forces under a new jam produced by CaskeysOnit titled “Jah Lives”. This is a song they have released to close the year.
“Jah Lives” by Konkarah which features Ras Kuuku is a caution song to still instill the message of steadfastness in the ghetto youths in the face of recent economic hardships. Both used their powerful lyrics to advise the youths to still believe in God Almighty and never give up.
Konkarah Jahvybz got into mainstream spotlight this year (2023) when he got nominated for Vodafone Ghana Music Awards with his song “A Go Dey” featuring Kelvyn Boy for the “Reggae/Dancehall Song Of The Year” Category. He holds at least 4 Albums to his credit with major features with Samini, Yaa Pono, Iwan, Obibini, just to name a few.
