Kuami Eugene’s Fan Base Comment Is “Childish” – Mr Logic
Artiste manager and entertainment critic Mr Logic has rubbished claims by Ghanaian Highlife artiste Kuami Eugene that fan base is not needed in today’s music industry.
The “Obiaato” singer last week revealed on Accra based radio station Hitz FM that, having a fan base in Ghana is not necessary because it makes it difficult for musicians to organize their shows.
He went ahead to explain that, there are no fan base in Nigeria like we have here in Ghana yet they have achieved what we are struggling to achieve.
However, reacting to this Mr Logic who played instrumental role in the formation of the Shatta Movement brand disagrees vividly with the singer’s comments and even went ahead to describe him as “childish”. Speaking as a guest panel on Entertainment Arena with Londona, he also pointed out that it’s necessary for an artiste no matter their level to build a strong fan base.
Having a fan base also help to expose the leadership quality in an artistes as well as helps them to get ambassadorial deals he stated.
“Fan base is everywhere including churches..so Kuami Eugene didn’t speak out of maturity” he added.
He then advised emerging artistes to work harder to gather their fan base because that is the only thing that will guarantee success which is hard to find.
