Secular Artistes Are Not Devils – Prophet Joseph Atarah
Multi-talented Ghanaian gospel singer, Prophet Joseph Atarah has revealed his opinions on secular music ahead of the second edition of Atarah Praise.
The prophetic man of God was in a conversation with Zeal Nana Kweku Bliss on Class Xtra on Saturday, May 11, 2024, as part of his media tour to promote his upcoming project, Atarah Praise. He is also promoting his latest single, Me Y3 Obi, which was released in December 2024.
The revered man of God spoke about the obvious, but overlooked positive impacts of some secular music as he assured the general public of the expectation of some great secular artistes at his upcoming Gospel event.
“This is not just about Gospel music. We will have secular artistes passing through. Becca and her husband will be there. Secular artistes are not devils. The Bible says it is better to listen to an inspirational song as compared to a meaningless song. If the secular artistes are producing inspirational songs, we need to accept them.” the Woye Odo hitmaker revealed.
Prophet Joseph Atarah, in his third year of his bright musical journey and the solidified brand, can boast of numerous nominations and awards from prestigious Awards schemes in the Ghanaian music industry. He has been able to maneuver his way through the Gospel music community with his maiden single, Woye Odo, which features Piesie Esther doing the magic for him.
The inspiration songwriter, who is also blessed with the talent of playing musical instruments such as the percussion, drums, dondo as well as the keyboard will be at the forecourt of the Believers Grace Crown Ministry International Bond Square, Adenta-Barrier for the second edition of Atarah Praise. This spirit filled event, which was launched at Bay View, Atomic Junction on Monday, April 15, 2024, is scheduled for Sunday, May 19, 2024.
The leader of the Believers Grace Ministry International at Adenta-Barrier will have musical ministrations from experienced Gospel singer such as Piesie Esther, Empress Gifty, Mabel Okyere, Patience Nyarko, Lady Prempeh, Akesse Brempong, Jack Alolome, among others.
The first edition of the Atarah Praise, which took place on Sunday, May 28, 2023, got the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission at East Legon, Bawaleshie, flooded with patrons. It saw great performances from Perez Musik, Daughters of Glorious Jesus, Ruth Adjei, and Praise Esther.
Prophet Joseph Atarah assured that his prophetic gift will be in full force as there will be other great men of God to join hands in prayer and intercede for attendees. Patrons are expected to come with their prayer request and have a life changing encounter with God Almighty. There will be some fundraising episodes to help provide some sewing machines to help spark some entrepreneurial lights into the lives of at least two lucky individuals at the event.
