“We are in the gospel fraternity, but street department” – Black Sherif reacts

2023 “Artiste of the Year” at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards has stated that he is open to working with gospel singer Piesie Esther.

This comes after Piesie Esther expressed interest in having Black Sherif over to the gospel side of the industry.

“He has that kind of powerful voice. I love his voice, it is my wish that someday he will come and join me in gospel,” she said in an interview on Joy Fm’s ‘Morning Show.’

Reacting to Piesie’s comments in an interview with Andy Dosty on Hitz FM, Blacko stated that he was open to working with her, emphasising that he preaches the gospel in his music as well.

“I will be there…because I do gospel music. My song “Oil in my head” is a gospel song…most of the songs I do are gospel songs. We are in the gospel fraternity, street department,” he said in the interview.
