Being a voice over artiste is one of the most challenging career one can pursue, especially in Ghana.
Voice actors, voiceover artists are auditory performers who work on everything from video games and commercials to audiobooks, apps, and e-learning courses.
Some few successful artistes in Ghana are Jay Foley, Ato Kwamena Aikins, Eve-Ann, Jessica Opare Saforo and one of the most talented young ladies doing so well is Kelzi.
Kelzi has worked on great projects for notable brands both local and international, breaking barriers with her soothing and captivating voice.
She is specialized in both Twi and English Jingles, commercials, animations , narrations and audiobooks, Announcements (Funerals, Birthdays et).
She has her voice dubbed for commercial ad. animation video for masters publications, V/O jingle for Duke Rice, Hexatech Hub, Dominion Ghana Real Estate Limited, Singles Alter Foundation (Marriage & Single Life Mentorship, Counselor Mrs. Patricia Annor, church and gospel jingle for The Church of Pentecost, Word Delivery, Grace Mountains, Great Joy Pentecostal Ministry, Sam Ministry Int., Acts of Grace Int. among other great institutions and brands.
Speaking on her achievements, she highlighted some key areas one can explore which can be a ground breaking barrier to one’s career.
“It was difficult from the beginning and contemplating if I was doing the right thing but with consistency and dedication I’m glad I took this path. This is an area one can excel so well but it comes with it challenges”, she said.
Highlighting on her challenges, she expressed her disappointment in brand who are refusing to work with thriving individuals despite their ability to produce good content for their products and services. Stressing on the need to give young talents the chance to prove their worth.
“Sometimes it is difficult dealing with these bigger brands especially when you are not too popular. They always want to work with the known voices which sometimes becomes frustrating but I’m positive despite these challenge”.
Speaking into the future she said, she is looking forward to making the difference with her career and will be training young talents that will be interested in becoming voice over artistes in the new future.
