Maame Abena Darkwah of EBN TV Wins T.V Personality of the Year at Ghana Young Entertainers Awards 21′
The award scheme which is deemed to award hard working personalities in the entertainment fraternity spotted the handwork and massive input of Maame Abena over the years by honoring her with the award. The awards which took off on 17th September 2021 saw hosts of media personalities and entertainers cliching individual honors for their immense contribution to the creative arts industry.
Yvonne Ntim Darkwah who is affectionately called Maame Abena Darkwah is a strong believer in the strength of being a woman. She is known to state that ‘the strength of a woman is not in her muscles but in her ability to withstand all storms and still keep herself together’.
Years of surviving one challenge after another inspired her to form Stand Up And Walk Foundation, an NGO aimed at motivating the youth to reach their highest potential. She is also an author of two books and the host of ‘to be a woman’ show on Eclipse Broadcasting Network(E. B. N)
Maame Abena Darkwah is a product of University for Development Studies and offered Integrated Development studies with specialization in Development Communication Studies.
After school, she worked as a Clerk of Council with the Tarkwa Urban Council at the Municipal Assembly of Tarkwa in the Tarkwa Nsuaem Municipality from 2011 to 2019 before relocating to Accra.
In her two years stay in Accra, she has successfully set up her own laundry service business located at Nungua and also successfully started her own women empowerment show known as ‘To Be A Woman’ on Eclipse Broadcasting Network(E. B. N).
She is a single mother of two beautiful girls.
