Afro Pop Star Tyra Meek Announce Her Return To The Music Scene After 1 Year of Silence
Ghanaian sensational highlife/AfroPop songstress, Tyra Meek has announced her comeback to the music scene.
The songstress has been off the music hook for about a year after winning her maiden career award as the Best Female Vocalist at the 3rd edition of Eastern Music Awards.
According to her, she had to go off the microphone to settle a number of domestic issues and also to put her late father to rest.
“I had gone off because I was surrounded by many issues which were not helping my career. My family was finding it difficult to give me the go-ahead to pursue my music career. I was restricted from going to the studios and lots I can’t disclose here” she had said.
Tyra Meek has also divulged that her biological father had passed on during the days and she has to wait till all is done for his burial before moving on.
“I had to hurry my dad. He died during the days of my silence and I have to make sure he is buried before I carry on with my career. We just finished all burial rites last week and I am all set to take-off” she added
Tyra Meek, born Millicent Asante is a young Highlife and Afro Pop Ghanaian music performer from the Eastern Region, Somanya.
She is currently under the management of Best Music Records-Ghana and has to her credit songs such as “Me ne woa, Suicide Love, Demon” among others.
Tyra Meek had emerged as Best Female Vocalist at the 2018-19 edition of Eastern Music Awards.
