Entertainment enthusiast and Digital Media consultant Kelly Nii Lartey Mensa has admonished Ga Adangme chiefs as a matter of urgency issue a decree for rich men who acquire large Ga lands and properties to marry Ga women.
His assertion was to make Ga descendants also benefit from these properties as a result of inheritance and if time is not taken, Ga descendants will be left without land.
In a Facebook posts made on his wall,Kelly Nii Lartey wrote,
“The elders of the Ga -Gangbe states must as a matter of urgency decree that, any rich man with multiple land properties in any part of the Ga Dangbe dynasty must marry a Ga lady. It can be his first or second wife or subsequent wife but if you are daring enough to buy our heritage, you must be made to compulsorily marry one of our girls. We can’t have descendants without lands”.
This conversation is as a result of Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie aka (Sir John’s) Will leaked on the internet where the deceased has acquired large number of properties and lands in Accra and other part of Ghana.
Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie was a Ghanaian lawyer and politician. He held several political positions including serving as general secretary of the New Patriotic Party. He was serving as the chief executive officer of Forestry Commission of Ghana before his demise on July 1, 2020.
