I’m Still Writing Songs For Artistes – Akwaboah
Ghanaian award winning singer Akwaboah has revealed that he still writes songs for artistes even though he’s also doing music now.
The “Posti me” hitmaker revealed this in an interview with Amansan Krakye on the Central Dryve on GBC Radio Central in Cape Coast.
When asked if he still writes songs for artistes as he was doing before venturing into active music and why didn’t he concentrate on songwriting solely he said; “yes I still write for artistes but now I write gospel”.
Again he said, the system in Ghana doesn’t favour the song writer like in the other western world so he deem it necessary to venture into music personally rather than concentrating on songwriting.
However, the artiste who doubles up as instrumentalist said he will love to be on his own rather than returning to Sarkcess Music and he’s not ready now to manage any emerging artiste too.
He also added that even though the lockdown and the Coronavirus pandemic has affected the music industry, it has given him more chances to write more music.
He later urged Ghanaian to adhere to Coronavirus preventive measures to avoid contracting the sickness.
