Kwame Nut slams VGMA for giving his award to DSL
Kwame Nut, a talented musician who has been making waves in the Ghanaian music scene, has still not gotten over his loss to DSL at the VGMA.
Kwame Nut’s loss to DSL in the 2023 edition of the VGMA sparked controversy and backlash when the award for Unsung Artiste of the Year was given to Lynx Entertainment signee, DSL, instead of the rightful winner, Kwame Nut. This decision has raised questions about the credibility and fairness of the VGMA.
However, the Obra Hitmaker, in a recent interview with DJ Berima on Entertainment City on Kingdom Fm, expressed his disappointment and outrage at the organizers of VGMA for snubbing him of what he deserved.
According to him, he was surprised when the organizers of the prestigious award decided to give the Unsung artiste of the year to DSL instead of him. He mentioned VGMA is biased and must stop the favoritism in the selection process of award winners.
Over the years, a lot of musicians have questioned the credibility of award schemes like VGMAs, and it seems the organizers are yet to find a solution to it.
