Accra, Ghana – September 5, 2025 — Executives of ECG Ladies the Power Queens from all regions of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) participated in a leadership workshop at the Accra Metropolitan University (Accra Met), where Prof. Goski Alabi shared practical lessons on effective leadership and personal growth.
In the session, Prof. Goski emphasized the importance of leaders taking responsibility for their roles and showing initiative that goes beyond routine instructions. She noted that leadership required self-awareness, discipline, and the ability to influence others positively within the workplace.
She urged the ECG Power Queens to cultivate habits of commitment and accountability, stressing that true leadership was demonstrated in daily actions and consistency, not only in positions or titles. According to her, adopting these principles would enable ECG employees to serve the public better while also advancing their own professional development.
Participants engaged actively with the message, reflecting on how they could apply the leadership lessons to improve service delivery and teamwork within the organization. The session, hosted at Accra Met, formed part of ongoing collaborations between the university and industry players aimed at building leadership capacity for national development.
