Ayikwei Sportoo recruits DKB,Ob Amponsah, Mjthecomedian, Khemikal, Lekzy and others to perform at his much anticipated church Comedy Show dubbed “Laugh to heaven”.
Ghanaian comedian cum pastor, Ayikwei Sportoo will be hosting one of the biggest church comedy events this Sunday December 19,2021 at the FAITH EVANGELICAL MISSION WORLDWIDE, Mataheko.
The show which is dubbed “laugh to heaven” has on Bill Putogo, MJthecomedian, Ob Amponsah, DKB, Lekzy decomic, Nii oo Nii, Khemikal, Alowess. And also supporting are Miller Greg, Sam Qweeku, Papayaw and kojo Pjay.
Laugh to heaven will start exactly at 5pm prompt and it is a free event.
Speaking to Ayikwei Sportoo concerning the event, he expressed his excitement putting the show together and and having all these comedians on board to make it a memorable one.
“COVID really destroyed majority of our plans but moving away from that, I’m very happy about this project and want to thank all those involve in making things happen, we are looking forward to changing the face of comedy and with the signs so far it looks promising”, he said.
When asked about how he combines the ministry and comedy, “ well it is Good to do God’s work and my love for comedy has always been there so combining the two isn’t something I am finding difficult”.
Sportoo also charged Ghanaians to support comedy for it is a growing industry, and in the few years, will be one of the biggest Ghanaian exports in the creative art industry.
In terms of growth, Comedian Ob Amponsah who is on Bill, shut down the National Theatre with his Successful show “Popular but Broke” which became the talk on major media platforms.
