George”The Red Tiger” Ashie has roared. The hard hitting slugger has not hidden his intentions of handing Robert ‘Stopper’ Quaye his first career loss when the two engage in battle on Independence Day this year at Bukom Boxing Arena.
“I’ve known Quaye from childhood. There’s nothing new he can show me in the ring. I know all his moves and I’ve got the antidote to foil his attacks. This is a fight the fans have long craved and yearned for. It will be epic and I’m set to dethrone Robert Quaye”, Ashie declared.
Ashie asserts that he views the bout as an opportunity to get back in contention for a world title and therefore wouldn’t let it slip by.
Ashie who is somewhat a new entrant in the Junior Welterweight division, having fought at Lightweight for most of his career, seeks to announce his entry in a grand style and what better way than against The Stopper.
“I’m here to dethrone him, that’s my mission”, Ashie (34-5-1)claimed.
This is yet another milestone chalked by astute promoter, Alex Ntiamoah of Box Office Promotions and boxing fans can only await with bated breath for the D-Day.
