Meet the top 10 gh acts in 2022

The year 2022 has been quite an eventful year for some of our artistes in Ghana and has contributed to the growth of the Ghanaian entertainment industry.

These are RaggOut youngprs Top 10 artistes of the year 2022.

1. Black Sherif

Ghanaian star black sherif had a great year with international collaborations and great album to his credit. The Villain I Never Was topped charts across the world and accumulated over 521000 plays on audiomack. 2022 has been a breakthrough moment for black sherif, congratulations.

2. Sarkodie

Popularly known as the Landlord have had a magnificent year with great tunes and collaborations. Releasing his 8th studio album this year crowned his longevity in the game and relevance in the music space. He crowned the year with his annual rapperholic for the 10th edition at the grand arena.

3. Stonebwoy

One of the most hardworking artistes in Ghana with great collaborations across the world. He is among top 5 Ghanaian artiste with most streams in Boomplay with 40.2 million. The artiste also had great moments at Qatar performing to fans across the world.

4. Shatta Wale

Dancehall king have had a good moment climaxing it with filling the Accra Sports Stadium, a capacity of 40,000 people at the Freedom Wave Concert with medikal. He also released the GIFT of God album which is doing well after the long wait. Congratulations to Shatta Wale.

5. Gyakie
Gyakie is a Ghanaian afrobeat/afro singer. In 2019, Gyakie released her first single titled; “Love is Pretty” which paved way for another single, “Never Like This.” In August 2020, the “Forever” song from her five-track EP, titled “Seed” was her claim to fame enjoying airplay and leading charts in Ghana, Kenya and Nigeria. Gyakie’s father is Nana Acheampong.

She has signed an international record deal with Sony Music entertainment, RCA Records UK and Sony Music Africa.

In March 2022, Gyakie was adjudged the Woman of the Year for the 3Music Awards 2022 during the 3Music Women’s brunch.

In June 2022, Gyakie got featured on Grammys Herbal tea and white sofas interview, a new series where artists reveal their backstage must-haves.

She released her second EP dubbed ”MY DAIRY” in July, 2022,. The EP features Nigerian musician Davido.

6. Camidoh

After his breakthrough single topped charts across the world, the singer had been phenomenal with his craft and had been consistent. The remix of sugarcane with Mayorkun, king Promise and Darkoo blew the song over reaching over 47 million views on YouTube. The singer did great collaborations with top artistes across Africa making him one of the most successful in 2022. Congratulations to Camidoh.

7. Piesie Esther

One of the few gospel musicians who has been been in the industry for over 20 years and still preaching the ministry through her songs has been great in 2022. Way3 me yie single pushed the brand a bit further and made her relevance this year. She climaxed the year in celebrating 20 years of music with ‘Waye Me Yie Anniversary’ concert.

8. Wendy Shay

Her survivor single became a monster hit topping trends and accumulating 4.4 million within 7 months of its release. She dropped a 7 track EP dubbed Enigma which are Murda, Habibi, Mariama, Ruthless, One Man, New Level and Heaven. She accumulates about 185.3k monthly listeners on Spotify.

9. King promise

King promised was featured by great artistes within and outside Ghana and also released 5 Star Album. The album did do well by accumulating over 10.5 million plays on Boomplay. Congratulations

10. Kidi

The Lynx Entertainment signee have been one of the biggest artiste crossing boundaries. His 4Play Ep did amazing. “His touch it” single earned his a remix with Tyga accumulating 7.3 million views and his latest with Tulsi Kumar has 14 million views also on YouTube. Congratulations to kidi.
