The treasurer of Takoradi Constituency of the ruling NPP, Mark Ofori has been shot dead.
The news has thrown the party into a state of shock and grief as most social media platforms have been filled with the condolences to the NPP and his family.
Mr Ofori was shot in his house at Fijai, a suburb of Takoradi precisely Western Region by some assassins.
Report from the NPP party office in Takoradi states that many party members are converging at the party office to mourn him and most were grieving uncontrollably.
A report made by Ohene Gyan says the assassin did not take anything from his house but went straight to his room to kill him.
Takoradi Police are yet to arrest a suspect
