Youth interested in entertainment than politics, reason why old men rule africa.
Over the years Africa has been represented by a lot of old people and has been one of driving forces making Africa languish behind.
Unlike New Zealand’s prime minister Jacinda Ardern 42-year-old, Chile’s Gabriel Boric, 36, and Finland’s Sanna Marin, 37, Other countries across the world have leaders in their 30s and early 40s, Africa has a lot of old men representing them.
The Cameroonian leader Paul Biya is currently 90years. He has been the President of Cameroon since November 6, 1982, The Guinean politician Alpha Condé who is 85 years, Nana Akufo-Addo of Ghana
Age 79 years (29 March 1944) and currently Nigeria’s president elect Bola Tinubu 70 years.
Majority of the youth are someone not concerned about running of the affairs but focused more on trivialities and entertainment.
For Africa to one of the the best continent, it is important the youth have a direct engagement on how the affairs of their countries are run and contribute positively in building a united Africa.
