“I unequivocally condemn all acts of violence and lawlessness” — stonebwoy on Ashaiman’s violence
Ghanaian dancehall artiste Stonebwoy has condemned all Violence going on in Ashaiman.
In the early hours of Tuesday 7th March, 2023, there were scenes of military men brutalizing civilians of Ashaiman over allege murder of colleague.
Parts of Ashaiman were forced into self imposed curfew at dawn after some military personnel stormed the area and subjected residents to severe beatings.
Stonebwoy popularly known as Ashaiman hero took to social media to condemn the act.
He wrote, “it’s 9am in New York and I’m just waking up to the news of what’s going on in my beloved Ashaiman. I unequivocally condemn all acts of violence and lawlessness, whether it relates to brutalization of innocent civilians or unlawful killing of a member of the armed forces. May all those culpable be found out and made to face the law fully”.
A soldier belonging to 3rd Battalion Infantry in Sunyani, has been allegedly murdered in Tafia, a suburb of Ashaiman, in the Greater Accra region, on Friday.
Imoro Sheriff, 21, was allegedly killed by a gang after he visited his girlfriend in the vicinity.
Imoro, whose rank could not be immediately verified, was attacked with knives and other weapons, immediately after leaving the girlfriend’s home.
