Ladies in Media Awards set for 25th March

Ladies in Media Award
(LIMA) is an award scheme designed to celebrate and honour media women in a bid to build excellence while creating platforms for young talented women to horn their skills through mentoring and coaching.

According to the organizers, the final event will recognise the crème de la crème of outstanding African female personalities in various fields of the media and creative industry in five (5) African countries; Kenya, Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, and Zimbabwe.

“LIMA’s vision is to award and recognise media personalities whose work and influence have impacted the media creative space of in their respective countries and also encourage upcoming and aspiring young women to strive for professionalism,” Margaret Barden President of Ladies in Media said.

Ms. Margaret further averred that with the vision to become a prestigious and credible award scheme in Africa and beyond and identify young female media and creative personalities, with exceptional capabilities and skills, LIMA is one-of-a-kind awards events, conceived and birthed by young ladies with entrepreneurial spirit seeking to make a change one female at a time.

This year’s event is moving away from a seated event hosted in a conference room to a digital and traditional media engagement. This we will help reach most women in media across the continent. Organisers will be working directly with credible and competent boards to adjudicate the entire process through the selection process and final day of the event where deserving honorees will be awarded.

The Awarding board for the Ladies In Media Awards includes Hon Nadia Ahmed (Deputy minister of ICT, Innovation and youth affairs) – Kenya, Mr. Idorenyen Enang ( President, National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria (NIMN), Diana Hopeson ( Gospel Artist former President of Musicians Union of Ghana, Mr. Tawanda Raymond (Entrepreneur ) – Zimbabwe, and Mr. Maxwell Dodd (Entrepreneur) – Ghana
